Workers' comp: Is there a cure for the chronic probs?

The steps taken by companies to develop a loss prevention program (LPP), to reduce workers compensation expenses, are discussed. For the implementation of the program, the companies require an insurance broker to audit the Worker's comp records. The broker is required to audit the premiums, the experience modification factor, the claims history and the way injuries are managed. It is suggested that reference checks of prospective employees should include safety and injury records.
