Study of preparation and characterization of Pt/Fe2O3/TiO2 and its photocatalytic activity

摘要
The photocatalytic oxidation of formaldehyde in air by TiO2 photo-catalyst loaded with noble metals and/or transition metal oxides was studied. The results show that Pt/Fe2O3/TiO2 photocatalyst results in higher photocatalytic oxidation activity on formaldehyde than either Pt/TiO2 or Fe2O3 one because of the cooperation of the two compounds. Influences of various factors, such as the preparation parameters of the photocatalyst, its microstructure and its surface characteristics, on the photocatalytic activity were also discussed.
