摘要
Hydroxyapatite is the main mineral component of bone tissue. Hydroxyapatite is biologically compatible with human organism. It is biologically integrated into the bone tissue and is not toxic. Hydroxyapatite is used as coating on implant. Hydroxyapatite ceramic materials have been developed which contain fine and intergrain interpenetrating pores. The ceramic materials can be utilized for filling the cavities in bone tissue as systems for supplying the medicinal preparations. Large interpenetrating pores are necessary for providing connection between implant and bone. Fine pores are matrixes for supplying the medicinal preparations.
