摘要
Graphene oxide was prepared by improved Hummers method, which was functionalized with a silane coupling agent 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane. Amino groups were grafted on the graphene oxide surface and react with BMI resin. Effects of silane functionalized graphene oxide on the interfacial properties of carbon fiber/BMI composites were studied. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were used to characterize the silane functionalized graphene oxide. The interfacial shear strength of the carbon fiber/BMI composites was tested and their fracture morphology was observed with scanning electron microscope. The results indicate that silane molecules are successfully grafted onto the graphene oxide surface and the interfacial adhesion of the carbon fiber/BMI composites are greatly improved. © 2017, Editorial Board of “Journal of Chemical Engineering of Chinese Universities”.
