Continuous casters have been installed at basic oxygen converter shop. Billet continuous caster No. 1 has been constructed for producing the rail and wheel billets. Continuous caster No. 2 has been built for manufacturing the slabs. Continuous caster No. 4 has been installed for producing the shaped billets. Continuous caster No. 4 is constructed for manufacturing the slabs. Before continuous casting, steel is processed in ladle furnace and degassed in vacuum. Productivity of the continuous casters has been improved. Design disadvantages of them has been eliminated. Complex technologies for producing the high-quality billets have been created.
