摘要
With sandwich composites made of continuous fiber-reinforced plastic cover layers and structured honeycomb core, large structural components can be implemented in a material-efficient manner with maximum lightweight construction performance. The complexity of component production is still the limiting factor for the broad application of sandwich construction, especially for large-scale production. With „TS Molding“, a fully automated production technology could now be brought to series production. „TS-Molding“ is based on a new type of thermoforming process which, in combination with thermoplastic injection molding, enables the economical production of ready-to-use sandwich components in large series. © 2022, VDI Fachmedien GmBH & Co.
