摘要
The largest part of electric power production in thermal power plant (TPP), being the main source of SO2 emissions in Slovenia, is generated at the Sostanj power plant. Its share in 1990 to 1999 was on average 76.08%. In the same period, the Trbovlje power plant's contribution to the total TPP electricity production was 13.97% and that of the Ljubljana combined heat and power plant 9.95%. In 1980, Slovenia emitted 224 000 t of SO2 and 123 000 t in 1998. The Slovenian coal-fired thermal power plants have prepared their strategy aimed at their harmonization with standards and directives of the European Union and signed Conventions and Protocols in the area of environmental protection.
