The plate rolling with MAS, spread and finish rolling processes were simulated with software ANSYS/LS-DYNA. Both plate shape characteristics and the influence of parameters of rolling with MAS on the plate shape were studied. The numerical simulation results showed that rolling with MAS can improve the plate side shape not only due to the compensation area, but also to the ratio of the length and reduction of rolling. If the rolling parameters are selected improperly, overcompensation on plate side would occur. The experiments were carried out on a plate mill with parameters selected based on simulation results, and the results were satisfactory.
