In recent years, there are more and more experimental investigation on axial-flow compressor and turbine. As a method of blade aerodynamic design and performance verification, the sector cascade experiment has been widely concerned. Taking the transonic sector wind tunnel as the research object, this paper introduces the design of the sector cascade experimental test system and the structure of the test piece, as well as the problems and solutions encountered in the process of the experiment. The influence of the uniformity of the outlet flow field in the contraction on the test flow field is analyzed. The feasibility of using the adjustable guide vane to simulate the actual inlet flow angle and Mach number of the tested blade is verified. The influence of suction position on the periodicity of the sector cascades is also introduced in this paper. This paper provides a reference for the future experimental research, and points out the areas to be further improved in the sector cascade experiment. © 2021, Science Press. All right reserved.
