NDT operator certification Part 11. After certification

This report is the last in the NDT Certification Series and considers what happens after certification. Suggestions are given of the necessary steps the employers must consider. First, that all the post certification terms be defined in the Written Practice. Second, that the employer must appreciate that the Authority to Work placed on an NDT technician does not just last 3 or 5 years. Third, that employers must withdraw Certification when NDT personnel do not meet with the specified document requirements. Lastly, that employers must meet the renewal/recertification requirements periodically in order to revalidate the Authority to Work.
