To make the selection of multiple maintenance strategy in the process of equipment maintenance management easily, the influence of three maintenance strategies which included repair maintenance, preventive maintenance and preventive replacement on equipment reliability was analyzed. The discrete variables were used to construct maintenance scheduling model so as to make decision. According to the equipment reliability, the maintenance strategy was selected to minimize the maintenance cost which included corrective maintenance repair cost, preventive maintenance cost, replacement cost and opportunity cost produced by preventive maintenance. The harmony search algorithm was designed to solve the model, and the diversity of solutions was ensured by generating the new solution and the replacement process. The effectiveness of proposed algorithm was validated, and the sensitivity analysis of maintenance interval and failure level were conducted respectively to assist decision making.
