Quantitative detection of valve internal air leakage based on acoustic emission theory

摘要
The quantitative relations were established between the valve internal air leakage rate and the root mean squares of characteristic parameters of acoustic emission signal (AERMS). The valves internal air leakages were detected by AE testing on test platform and the effects of factors such as the valve internal leakage rate and the valve type on AERMS were discussed. It is clearly demonstrated that the volume rate of air leakage can be successfully detected by using AERMS, and the maximum measurement error of acoustic emission detection technology is within 10%.
