摘要
The vibration accelerations of the fixture of a milling machine are measured when milling with one to four cutters. The accelerations are fed as inputs into an ART2 neural network. Setting an adaptive vigilance parameter, the ART2 system can quickly and correctly learn to classify 4 analog input patterns into 4 recognition categories. The work is a successful application of ART2 system to milling monitoring.
