Function generator circuits output different waveforms - sinusoidal, triangular and rectangular. These circuits can generate just one or multiple waveforms. Here we will examine a popular function generator’s (Figure 1) behaviour and performance with one of its outputs connected to a low-resistance load. The results are important for circuit designers when choosing applications for this circuit.
