摘要
The single-cycle combustion characteristics in a 100-watt-magnitude-output micro international combustion swing engine (MICSE) was studied by experiment with propane/air premixed gas. Under equivalence ratio φ varied from 0.9 to 1.2, by observing the flame shape of propagating flames, and measuring the pressure of gas in chamber and the movement of swing arm, the burning time of duration, mean flame propagation speed, fuel mass fraction burned, and pressure characteristics were obtained. It was found that the combustion process is turbulent combustion in the MICSE. At initial temperature 300 K and 0.13 MPa pressure of entering premixed gas, the burning time of duration is shorter than 5 ms and the peak pressure value is higher than 0.8 MPa with φ=1.0∼1.2. With the increase of equivalence ratio, the burning time of duration reduces, the mean flame speed and the peak pressure value increase accordingly, which are helpful to improve the output power of MICSE. © 2021, Science Press.
