A practical approach to species selection for restoration in a Brazilian cerradão

摘要
This work aimed to identify the arboreal, shrubby, and herbaceous species in a fragment of cerradão, to provide a list of potential species for ecological restoration. The species were classified into two categories: (i) Production species, common and easily accessible for seedling production and; (ii) Conservation species, recommended for maintaining diversity and conservation. Among the 80 species evaluated, 46% were Conservation species and 56% were Production species. The cerradão is mainly formed by shrub and arboreal species that are common and easily accessible for seedlings production. © 2022 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.
