Ein Lackhersteller hat einen Weg gefunden, das zur Herstellung von Kunststoffwasserflaschen verwendete Polymer wiederzuverwenden und in eine Pulverbeschichtung umzuwandeln. Das Verfahren unterstützt nicht nur die Kreislaufwirtschaft, sondern reduziert auch die Umweltbelastung der Pulverlacke. Das Problem der Verschmutzung unserer Ozeane durch Plastikmüll ist gut dokumentiert und es wird berechnet, dass es jedes Jahr rund 12 Millionen Tonnen Verschmutzung gibt - dies entspricht mehr als 700 Milliarden Plastikwasserflaschen [1].
