摘要
Cyberspace is a Constantly growing and modernized environment that offers opportunities for digital transformation in view of interconnectivity. However, the integration of the physical environment with the virtual world also gives rise to challenges that must be solved in the Industrie 4.0 ecosystem. For example, connectivity, virtualization and digitalization, as well as characteristics of engineering (E4.0), lead to cybersecurity challenges in an ecosystem that integrates cyber-physical systems (CPS) and digital twins. The use of digital devices through connectivity in product lifecycle management (PLM) can increase the attack surface for cyberattacks. Therefore, this paper aims to present an approach to the main cybersecurity risks that may arise from the integration of I4.0 technologies in manufacturing environments. In addition, a specific roadmap for PLM cybersecurity is presented and contributions to cybersecurity in the digital twin are discussed. © 2023 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston, Germany.
