Study on the Influence of Heat Flux Density on the Flow Heat Transfer of Aerospace Evaporator

Computational fluid dynamics has been used to study the conditions of constant gravity and weightlessness, effect of heat flux on flow heat transfer characteristics and heat transfer coefficient of R134a refrigerant in evaporator. The results show that under constant gravity, the gas volume fraction at the outlet of evaporator is between 0.9∼1; In the case of weightlessness, the heat transfer characteristics of the evaporator become worse, and the gas volume fraction at the outlet can only reach 0.7∼0.8; Under constant gravity, the heat transfer coefficient of R134a increases from 3.8352 W·m−2·K−1 to 29.2092 W·m−2·K−1 as the heat flux increases from 10 kW·m−2 to 150 kW·m−2; In the case of weight loss, the heat transfer coefficient of R134a does not show regular changes. When the heat flux is 90 kW·m−2, the heat transfer coefficient reaches the maximum value of 1.6036 W·m−2·K−1. © 2023 Science Press. All rights reserved.
