摘要
Polymer material-based products in the engineering field are most widely produced by multi-jet printing (MJP). These products impart inherent benefits in manufacturing intricate contours and shapes at less additional expense. It emphasises the importance of studying the mechanical behaviour of the manufactured parts using polymeric materials in different orientations. In this investigation, density, tensile behaviour, and hardness were studied along with surface morphological examination for 3D-printed parts produced in four different orientations. It is found that the best mechanical properties part should be fabricated using orientation where the maximum area of the part will be in contact with the base plate. Furthermore, for density and tensile strength part should not be fabricated in an inclined manner. Also, in case of hardness, the part should not be fabricated in an orientation where the less area of the part will contact the base plate. © 2021 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.
