摘要
Interest in alternative fuels grows as oil prices climb. Concerns over pollution levels in many regions of the world have heightened the urgency of finding solutions. As the price of crude oil rises, alternative fuels become more competitive. The automobile sector is well-known for being one of the world's largest consumers of gasoline. As a consequence, Because H2 is clean, dependable, efficient, approachable, client, and cost-effective, it also has the ability becoming a sustainable transportation power source. The potential of hydrogen as a primary energy source for transportation systems is investigated in this research. Hydrogen has proven to be a promising chemical fuel that has the potential to partially replace carbon fuels in diesel engines due to a variety of characteristics such as high power density, abundant supply, easy portability, and a wide range of production methods from sustainable and inexpensive fuels with no or low carbon output. A study into directly injecting H2 or H2-rich gas into diesel engine via the EGR flue gas recirculation design to facilitate ignition, effectiveness, and reduced carbon emissions would be of enormous scientific and practical relevance. The result indicates that the engine is operating at full load, with a thermal efficiency of 23.50 percent without EGR. The main conclusion is that in order to fully exploit the benefits of H2 and fueling cells in the transportation sector, it is necessary to establish a stable, long-term regulatory framework and to coordinate efforts across sectors in order to benefit from economies of scale. © 2022
