摘要
Flexible tubes and expansion joints connect pipelines in building service installations. Their main task is to compensate appearing forces due thermal expansion or offset motions. Because of that, they are relevant for safety and functionality. For efficient and safe plant operations are knowledges about the behavior of an decaying expansion joint necessary in order to recognize possible events that lead to damages and implement a predictive maintenance strategy. Within this research project were characteristics examined which describe possible states of decay. The goal was to develop a strategy for a system diagnosis. © 2023 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston, Germany.
