摘要
Railroad frame bridges experience intensive dynamic stresses. Due to the massive component dimensions and the strong degrees of restraint, the dynamic system is often not clearly identi-fiable. In this paper, the governing factors of soil-structure interaction on the dynamic behavior of the bedded frame are identified. The vertical abutment frequency is shown to be the governing parameter for the vibrating system. In the investigations, different modeling approaches are compared. It was shown that under certain conditions, the variant of a spatial mono-fre-quency dependent substructure model provides similarly accurate results as determined by a computationally intensive hybrid FEM-BEM approach. © 2022, VDI Verlag GMBH.
