Das drahtbasierte additive Fertigungsverfahren "Express Wire Coil Cladding" vom Fraunhofer IPT bietet eine ressourcenschonende und kostengünstige Alternative zur Oberflächenbearbeitung von Wellen. Wellen sind als Kraft- und Drehmomentüberträger unscheinbare und doch unersetzliche Bestandteile von Autos, Flugzeugen, Schiffen oder Windkraftanlagen.
