摘要
A direct magnetic field generator is assembled around the friction region of a four-ball tester. The effect of direct magnetic field on tribological properties of lubricating oil containing nano-MoS2 is studied. The morphology, the chemical components and contents of typical elements on the worn surfaces are investigated by the scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, in order to understand the tribological mechanism. The results show that nano-MoS2 is effective in reducing friction and wear, especially under the direct magnetic field. This is because the direct magnetic field enriches concentrations of nano-MoS2 on the friction surface, and promotes the tribo-chemical reactions. © 2019, Editorial Office of Acta Petrolei Sinica(Petroleum Processing Section).
