摘要
In this paper, thermal cycle testing was used to investigate the effects on physical and tensile properties of Polypropylene (PP), Kenaf/PP, Kenaf/PP/CNTs and Kenaf/CNTs/MAPP/PP hybrid composites for the injection moulded car battery tray. It was found that no physical changes were observed on the samples regarding colour or cracking. However, there was a dimensional change and warping of the samples. The dimension increased by 20% to samples containing CNT while the PP and PP/Kenaf samples decreased by 3.5% and 87%, respectively. The thermal cycling rapidly decreased the hardness of Pure PP and Kenaf/PP composites, it gradually increased the hardness of composites containing CNT fillers. The tensile strength, Young's modulus and elongation of the composites have been examined. © 2018 Elsevier Ltd
