Lack of fusion at the electrical contact welding of steel wires

Lack of penetration at the joint of the main and filler metals as well as at adjoining weld beads can be a significant disadvantage in restoring worn parts by electrocontact welding when wires are welded in the helical curve. The best way to improve restoration quality is to find a better welding condition. It is possible to meet a lack of penetration by additional force impact on welding material by stretching the wire at welding. A new way to two filler wires simultaneously by stretching them with different forces is recommended. © 2021 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.
