摘要
This work deals with the synthesis and characterization of praseodymium and silicon doped Sr3(PO4)2. This material was tested for its suitability as a VUV to UV-C converter. In addition, the observed red emission was characterized and the underlying photoluminescence mechanism examined. The phase purity was determined by the use of X-ray powder diffraction measurements, while photoluminescence properties were determined by excitation, emission, emission, diffuse reflectance, time and temperature depended measurements. Finally, morphologic studies were performed by using a scanning electron microscope and dynamic light scattering methods. © 2020 Elsevier B.V.
