Reflections on Cultivating New Quality Productive Forces in the Oil and Gas Industry

<正>On September 7,2023,General Secretary Xi Jinping first proposed to"accelerate the formation of new quality productive forces and enhance development momentum"during a symposium in Harbin on promoting the comprehensive revitalization of the Northeast in the new era,which attracted great attention worldwide.Subsequently,the formation and development of new quality productive forces were successively incorporated into a series of important documents including the 2023 Central Economic Work Conference,the 2024Government Work Report,and the Communique of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China released in July2024,becoming one of the key components of Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era.It is worth considering how the oil and gas industry can fully and deeply understand and grasp the significant meaning of forming and developing new productive forces,fully comprehend its basic essence,effectively combine the actual conditions of China's oil and gas industry and the development trends of the international oil and gas industry,and enhance the cultivation and development of new quality productive forces to strengthen developmental momentum,improve high-quality development capabilities,and promote accelerated progress in becoming a world-class enterprise.
