摘要
The objective of this manuscript is to present an analytical-numerical methodology for predicting residual stresses after cold rolling of steel sheets, with or without coiling/uncoiling steps. This proposal considers the contribution of hardening after each pass, the increase in temperature arising from forming, with the consequent appearance of a thermal gradient between the center of the sheet and its surface, and the eventual plastic deformation/relief after coiling/uncoiling. Predicted results were compared to experimental data collected from a steel plant, as well as to results available in the literature. The coincidence of values was quite satisfactory, especially in the central third of the residual stress distribution curves. Experimental results from more diverse processes, with greater variation in the number of passes and strain rates, are desirable for definitive validation of the proposed prediction model.
