摘要
The effects of nanoclay-modified ethylene-vinyl acetate (MEVA) on the physical and rheological properties of styrene-butadiene-rubber (SBR)-modified asphalt binder were investigated. MEVA/SBR composite-modified asphalt binders (MESBR) were prepared with 4 % SBR and varying MEVA content. The effect of MEVA on the properties of SBR-modified asphalt binder (SBRMA) was investigated through penetration, softening point, ductility, viscosity, temperature sweep, and frequency sweep tests. Furthermore, multiple stress creep recovery and bending beam rheometer tests were performed to analyse the deformation resistance and low-temperature performance of MESBR. Additionally, the storage stability of MESBR was evaluated through separation tests and fluorescence microscopy. The results indicated that MEVA addition significantly enhanced the physical and rheological properties of SBRMA both before and after ageing. Compared with SBRMA, MESBR exhibited improved deformation and ageing resistance, making it suitable for use under standard traffic loads at temperatures up to 76degree celsius. However, MEVA exhibited a slightly negative impact on the low-temperature performance and storage stability of MESBR. With the addition of 5 % MEVA, MESBR exhibited favourable comprehensive performance and good storage stability.
