摘要
This article introduces a reconfigurable multiport dc-dc converter designed to compensate for multiple-switch faults, ensuring uninterrupted power supply with improved reliability in hybrid power stand-alone applications. The analysis of the fault-tolerant converter involves studying its performance under various scenarios involving both single and multiple-switch faults. Furthermore, a fault diagnosis algorithm based on inductor current prediction is presented along with a fault location identification algorithm. The proposed topology has been validated on the laboratory prototype developed. The Xilinx Spartan six controller has been used to interface the control algorithm with the prototype, generating pertinent switching strategies to maintain fault tolerance. The results obtained validate the efficacy of the adapted fault-tolerant structure, ensuring uninterrupted power supply without compromising output voltage. The results also validate the appropriate charging and discharging of the energy storage device. In addition, an analysis comparing the proposed fault-tolerant multiport converter with prior works demonstrates the superior performance of the proposed topology.
