摘要
During the evolution of intelligence concept, perhaps more than 70 different definitions of intelligence have been proposed. In the most comprehensive definition of intelligence, the undeniable role of culture in its formation, evaluation, and measurement is acknowledged. The rise of new technologies, notably the Metaverse, is giving birth to a distinct cultural expression within virtual experiences. So, there is undoubtedly a need for a unique form of intelligence. I showed that existing theories may not effectively measure intelligence in this emerging cultural sphere. The unique demands of the metaverse highlight the inadequacies of current intelligence models in addressing the necessary cognitive flexibility, social intelligence, cultural adaptability, and technological proficiency required for successful engagement in this new virtual experience. Therefore, adopting an etic-emic approach, the aim is to build a new theory -Metaverse Intelligence- to assess intelligence specifically in the metaverse. Using this environment, living inside it, and working effectively, need a specific smartness and intelligence, here introduced "Metaverse Intelligence".
