摘要：
The purpose of this article is to elucidate relevant aspects the resolution of the contract in Colombia, specifically to highlight the relevant national legislation, as well as the opinion of the doctrine and jurisprudence, emphasizing the interpretations of the contract resolution legislation, ending with a reflection on the subject in different instruments of international law and what modern interpretation should be given to the unilateral resolution of the contract, in order to speed up business, fulfill the economic purpose of the contract and free up the justice system in Colombia.
