摘要
In recent years, educational YouTube channels have proliferated in various areas of knowledge. This fact has resulted in the emergence of the figure of teachers who carry out part of their activity through these channels, being popularly known as Edutubers. The main objective of this study is to analyze the teaching performance of edutubers in subjects of humanities and social sciences in Secondary Education, to know their motivations, their development of digital competence, achievements and difficulties. The research methodology has consisted in the selection of five edutubers with channels that have a great impact in the area of social sciences. These teachers have undergone interviews in which they have explained their motivations, their connection with the Flipped Learning methodology, the acquisition of digital competence, and the challenges that this raises, as well as the transformation of the role of teachers and students that this has entailed. These interviews have been analyzed with qualitative methodology, through the WebQDA software. Among the most relevant results, the acquisition of digital competence stands out, the great transformation that both their role as teachers and that of their students have undergone, and the implications for the teaching of their subjects.
