摘要
The term "fibro-osseous lesion" should be considered a working diagnosis. All clinical, radiologic, and histopathologic data are needed to establish a diagnosis. Despite notable patterns, many FOL will not present "by the book," and should be treated based on their clinical behavior. Much remains unknown about CF-FOL and their unique properties. Further research into molecular mechanisms will help identify common pathways underlying the pathophysiology of craniofacial bone diseases, including FOLs.
