摘要
A novel intermetallic compound with a cubic crystal structure was successfully synthesized within the quinary system of CoCrFeNiSi, boasting an almost equiatomic chemical composition. The crystal structures of the intermetallics and the minor impurity phase has been meticulously investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), time-of-flight neutron diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. Magnetic measurements of this highentropy intermetallic compound revealed that CoCrFeNiSi exhibits ferrimagnetic properties at room temperature. The structural disorder was investigated through theoretical calculations and magnetic moment measurements.
