摘要
One of the goals for nursing homes for the elderly in Spain by 2025 will be to provide care to their residents without the use of physical or pharmacological restraints, except in exceptional and urgent situations. With this objetive in mind, this paper analyzes when these restraint measures can be used and under what criteria. These include respect for the person's dignity, freedom, and autonomy, prior medical prescription, informed consent, and the principles of care, exceptionality, necessity, proportionality, temporariness, prohibition of excess, and transparency
