摘要
The film is an artistic expression that allows students to come into contact with sensitive topics, such as death, grief and palliative care. This Extension Project aims to describe the experience of the academic community of a Federal University of Rio de Janeiro with the Cineclube da Morte. Its methodological proposal is to produce learning processes with the purpose of disseminating and elucidating themes related to human finitude and any subject that permeates death for academics, helping them in the construction of this knowledge, welcoming them to mental health and supporting them from pain arising from difficult topics about death and loss, which permeate everyday life. The Project holds monthly meetings promoting the screening of films and their reflection, as well as space for personal experiences, where the public is divided into small groups for discussion, personal stories are shared, concepts are introduced, and nursing and psychology teachers They support and forward more complex cases, this entire process takes an average of 3h30. At the end of the meetings, a Google Form is made available via email with the questions: Which point in the discussion caught your attention? What did you learn from this meeting? Through these responses, a database is being built, so that there can be improvement. At each meeting, new experiences are experienced, new stories shared, and taboo topics such as "death" begin to be discussed and demystified, enabling new forms of management and humanized care for patients in palliative care and the various bereavements experienced.
