摘要
Potential future implementation of the AORTA Gene model to improve the treatment of individuals with thoracic aortic disease. The AORTA Gene model is derived from the integration of a polygenic score for ascending aortic diameter into the clinical AORTA Score. AORTA Gene can potentially be applied to determine patients who warrant screening for thoracic aortic dilation. In the future it is hoped that similar models will be able to be inform who may benefit from aggressive medical management or earlier elective surgical intervention based on individual-level risk.
