摘要
High-stress breakage during storage and processing is one of the primary factors in the decline of rice quality. To reveal the mechanical response law under this condition, confined compression and numerical simulations were used to analyze the mechanical evolution laws of rice particle beds under high-pressure in this work. The results show that the compaction process progresses from top to bottom. The total number of contact forces in the particle beds increases, the strong contact forces exhibit a diffusion in direction. The maximum principal stress is consistent with the direction of the strong force chain, particle breakage direction corresponds to the maximum principal stress direction. Finally, based on the analysis of the particle beds, a uniaxial confined compression axial stress transfer model for rice particle beds is proposed. The results are helpful for understanding the stress transfer characteristics of rice particle beds, provide basis for the improvement of related equipment.
