摘要
The subject of the research is to study the current state of the ecological environment of the Terek River basin and its hydrological regime on the territory of the Chechen Republic from the perspective of sustainable development, the degree and causes of technogenic pollution of water bodies of the Terek River basin. The purpose of the study is a comprehensive environmental assessment of the state of water resources and biodiversity of the Terek River basin, development of a concept and identification of ways and measures to restore and improve the water area of the Terek River basin and its ecosystem. The need for such research is justified by the crisis situation that has developed as a result of the long-term negative impact of the ecological state of the Terek River and its tributaries, its water, plant and animal resources, natural biodiversity- the basis for the sustainable development of the region. Delay in analyzing the current situation, studying the environmental problems of the Terek River basin, the state of water resources and biodiversity, and taking urgent measures to improve its health is detrimental to its ecosystem and leads to the impossibility of restoring its optimal state. To implement measures to reduce and prevent technogenic pollution of the environment in the Terek River basin, it is necessary to characterize the main sources of pollutants, determine the degree of their impact on the state of water resources and ecosystems, aquatic organisms, and assess the current hydrobiological regime. In this regard, there was a need to study the hydro- biological regime of the Terek River basin, including on the territory of the Chechen Republic, to develop a concept for the improvement, restoration and sustainable development of the ecosystem of the Terek River water basin.
