The results presented in this article are part of a historical-philosophical investigation, that aims at enriching the knowledge so far gained about the social thought of Jos & eacute; de la Luz y Caballero. These results offer a deeper analysis of the process of formation and development of the Philosophy of the law of the illustrious Cuban thinker and reveal the new generalizations and practical mediations discovered in that field. Likewise, they reveal their epistemological essences and express their formative value in the context of the Educational Reform. The content of the article transcends due to the high level of its philosophical reflection on legislation, codes, political relations, economic projections, ethical links, and educational reform. The text provides a new valuative dimension of the lucista philosophy, which highlights his work as a heritage of Cuban culture. The author selected the materials and applied the work methods demanded by the internal dynamics of the investigative process.
