摘要
Mycophenolic acid (MPA) is an immunosuppressant less commonly utilized in allergic conjunctivitis. Peptidebased hydrogels improve material performance and are used in different biomedical applications. The current study reported that a cationic peptide Nap-FFKK and MPA were co-assembled into K-M hydrogel for sustained MPA delivery. The study evaluated cytotoxicity in vitro and its effectiveness in alleviating allergic conjunctivitis symptoms with a model. The current study demonstrates a promising strategy for using peptides as vehicles for sustained MPA delivery to the eye for ophthalmic applications.
