Design of Enhanced Rotation Scheme for Dual-Axis Rotational Inertial Navigation System

摘要
Dual-axis rotational inertial navigation system (RINS) compensates system error by rotating the inertial measurement unit (IMU) with two-axis. Reasonable rotation scheme properly removes the system errors caused by inertial sensors error without other additional error by the rotation. Therefore, rotation scheme is a dominant factor of RINS's performance. In this paper, we propose the enhanced rotation scheme, which consists of 24-position rotations. The performance of the proposed method is verified by a simulation for long term and compared to the conventional 16-position dual-axis rotation scheme as wells.
