Many outdoor adventure activities (OAA) help to develop all three learning domains (psychomotor, cognitive, and affective), and are also tied to many physical and mental health benefits across the entire lifespan. This article highlights the benefits of incorporating OAA into the physical education curriculum and describes three ways to deliver onsite and offsite orienteering activities as part of an OAA unit in an elementary school setting.
