Vanishing results in Chow groups for the modified diagonal cycles

摘要
We prove a sufficient condition for the vanishing of the modified diagonal cycle inthe Chow group (withQ-coefficients) of the triple product of a curve overC. Weexhibit infinitely many nonhyperelliptic curves, including the Fricke-Macbeathcurve, Bring's curve, and two1-dimensional families parameterized by certainHurwitz spaces, for which our condition is satisfied.
