Polymer materials, serving as fundamental insulating materials in electrical and electronic equipment, encounter unavoidable microscale damage and cracks on their surfaces or internally due to environmental factors during prolonged operation, posing a significant threat to the safety of equipment operation. To address this, the present study designed a reaction platform based on microfluidic technology and developed a self-healing microcapsule with a highly controllable structure and moisture-triggered activation characteristics. These self-healing microcapsules utilize the moisture in the environment as a reactant, achieving efficient and intelligent self-repair of internal material damage and restoring the insulation performance of the material. Experimental results indicate that precise control over the preparation of the microcapsules can significantly enhance the mechanical and electrical properties of the composite insulating material, with the self-repaired material displaying insulation performance comparable to the original material. The findings of this research offer theoretical and practical engineering value for extending the service life of insulation materials in electrical equipment and ensuring the safety of equipment operation.
