The quality of health services constitutes a fundamental imperative to guarantee the well-being of the population. In response to the need to strengthen the integration of strategic planning in quality management in Ecuador, this study proposed to analyze the impact of planning on the quality of health services by identifying key factors that influence efficiency, satisfaction of the patient and care outcomes. Among the results, they highlight the relevance of strategic planning in continuous improvement, from operational efficiency to patient safety. The conclusions highlight the need to promote an organizational culture oriented to strategic planning and to strengthen the training of health personnel to guarantee long-term success in the provision of health services in Ecuador.
