摘要
A key application of Building Information Modeling is the optimization of collaboration between project participants in a construction project. This article focuses on the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the facility management of the chemical and pharmaceutical industry in Germany. BIM is currently being increasingly used in construction projects, but its application mostly pertains to the planning and construction phase. The requirements of the operational phase are often not considered during the planning phase, even though 80 % of the costs in the building's operational phase are attributed to facility management (FM). There are growing efforts to apply the digital building model in facility management in order to enable more efficient processes throughout the building's lifecycle. Due to significant potential for optimization, research is increasingly addressing solutions; however, up to the current point, there are no established uniform standards. In collaboration with industry partners, information requirements for BIM in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry have been derived from the perspective of facility management.
